Mistress Evita has been hostessing monthly fetish fetes at The Den of Iniquity for about a year now, and this month she and Den Head Mistress Tara Indiana are teaming up to throw a huge bash that will celebrate Tara's birthday and raise money for the family of civil rights attorney Jeremiah Gutman, who died this past February. And both are worthy of celebrating!

Gutman got his start defending civil rights down south when a black woman was beaten by cops. His work continued defending smokers' rights against New York anti-smoking legislation, though he was not a smoker; he supported religious freedom for the Hari Krishnas, though he was an atheist; and his work with the BDSM, porn and gay communities has been invaluable. He worked with NYCLU on numerous cases, making him one of Manhattan's lifelong activist lawyers on the frontlines of justice. His family is currently struggling financially and as a friend, Tara has offered to help raise money to assist them.

On a sunnier note, yes, this is a celebration of Mistress Tara's birthday! And this will be a night of a thousand top "tops." She and The Den of Iniquity invite you to celebrate the diva's birthday in high fashion. "Got a fetish?" they ask. "This event may be your antidote!"

Mistress Evita will host the evening's festivities, which include the usual snacks, beverages, music and general conviviality. Obviously the numerous Mistresses and scenesters of note in attendance will no doubt be treating guests to impromptu scenes. Things could get pretty crazy with all the whips and floggers flying about!
